I am ELMO

Everyone has a personality of a cartoon character. Have you ever asked yourself what cartoon character do you most resemble?

A group of investigators got together and analyzed the personalities of

Answer all the questions with what describes you best, add up all your
Points (which are next to the answer that you choose) at the end and look for your results.

Do not cheat by looking at the end of the e-mail before you are done
.
Then forward this to all your friends (including the person who sent it to you) and change the subject of this message to what character is
you.

Now add up your points and find out the answer you have been waiting for!

Put your character in the subject line and forward to your friends and back to the person that sent this to you.

Very interesting to see "who" your friends are!

(10-16 points) You are Garfield :
You are very comfortable, easy going, and you definitely know how to have fun but sometimes you take it to an extreme. You always know what you are doing and you are always in control of your life. Others may not see things as you do, but that doesn't mean that you always have to do what is right. Try to
remember, your happy spirit may hurt you or others.

(17-23 points) You are Snoopy:
You are fun, you are very cool and popular. You always know what's in and you are never are out of style. You are good at knowing how to satisfy everyone else. You have probably disappeared for a few days more than once but you always come home with the family values that you learned. Being married and having children are important to you, but only after you have had your share of fun times.

(24-28 points) You are Elmo:
You have lots of friends and you are also popular, always willing to give advice and help out a person in need. You are very optimistic and you always see the bright side of things. Some good advice: try not to be too much of a dreamer. Dreaming too big could cause many conflicts in your life.

(29-35 points) You are Sponge Bob Square Pants:
You are the classic person that everyone loves. You are the best friend that anyone could ever have and never wants to lose. You never cause harm to anyone and they would never not understand your feelings. Life is a journey, it's funny and calm for the most part. Stay away from traitors and jealous people, and you will be stress free.

(36-43 points) You are Charlie Brown:
You are tender, you fall in love quickly but you are also very serious about all relationships. You are a family person. You call your Mom every Sunday. You have many friends and may occasionally forget a few Birthdays. Don't let your passion confuse you with reality.

(44-50 points) You are Dexter:
You are smart and definitely a thinker... Every situation is fronted with a plan. You have a brilliant mind. You demonstrate very strong family principles. You maintain a stable routine but never ignore a bad situation when it comes. Try to do less over thinking every once in a while to spice things up a bit with spontaneity!

Now don't spoil it! Have some Fun!!

World

A father wanted to read a magazine but was being bothered by his little daughter, Vanessa. Finally, he tore a sheet out of his magazine on which was printed the map of the world. Tearing it into small pieces, he gave it to Vanessa, and said, "Go into the other room and see if you can put this together."

Vanessa returned and handed him the map correctly fitted together. The father was surprised and asked how she had finished so quickly. "Oh," she said," on the other side of the paper is a picture of Jesus. When I got all of Jesus back where He belonged, then the world came together."

Projects

The whole basement is officially in disarray. I have taken everything but the desk and hope chest out of my room and will be painting the walls tomorrow and then shampooing the carpet.

Then comes the fun part (not). Washing everything that was in my room and putting it back in, while getting rid of more. I filled a large garbage can and recycling bin with junk and a huge box with stuff to get rid of. Tomorrow I get to go thru the stuff in my closet while the paint dries.

And this all has to be done by Sunday night! I'm only one person....geh. Better get back to work.

Mini Adventure

So, I was watching AI and started smelling something burning. I went to check out the furnace, but it wasn't that. So, I decided to go to my room and check on my heater....which was melted and burnt...and my room was filled with thick, white, smelly smoke. Gag.

Praise Jesus that it didn't start a fire, tho!

I have 2 fans blowing the smoke out of my room and I will be re-locating for the night.

Funny that the smoke alarm in my room didn't go off. Until I got the fans going. Weird.

I have a paper cut under my finger nail.

Chicago Movies

Chicago or Bust

Because I am quite feeling lazy at the moment, if you want to see pictures from our trip to Chicago last weekend check out flickr.

Movies still coming.

PS - Jessica, Anna and I were all thankful that Heather was praying for our trip to Chicago, cuz none of the 'bad' stuff happened while we were on the road - it only snowed after we'd gone to bed each night! :-D

Snow

First there was Lightning,

                Then there was Thunder,

Now there is…

Snow.

A Little Bit,

        Then more.

                And MORE

                                    SNOW.

Blahumbug.

(Tho it is sending me home from work early today….)

One Day at a Time

Tough Love

For you grandparents this method works with grand kids as well!

~Tough Love vs. Spanking ~

Most of America's populace think it improper to spank children, so I have tried other methods to control my kids when they have one of "those moments."
One that I found effective is for me to just take the child for a car ride and talk. They usually calm down and stop misbehaving after our car ride together.
I've included a photo below of one of my sessions with my son, in case you would like to use the technique.

Sincerely,
A Friend

Sickness Updated

So, I went to see another doctor yesterday. I was feeling worse and worse. The salt gargles weren't doing anything for me. The new doc was nicer, faster, and gave my a prescription. I have developed an ear infection. Since I've been on the meds, my sore throat has gone away. I'm still a bit dizzy from the ear infection, and I sound funny when I talk, but I'm not getting the Something Something Abscess Something Something Abscess that the first doc said I was. Hallelujah!

On a happier note, Happy Birthday, Josiah!

Quiet Zone Here

Lucky me - I had the foresight to take tomorrow off work so I could recuperate for this weekend!

For starters - for those of you who didn't know...I didn't go to church Sat cuz I was sick. Very sick. Hot and Cold. Dizzy. Not able to eat...well, not able to get something I could eat, more like it! Too dizzy to hit the road and head to church for the scrumptious soup potluck we had...WAAAA! That's what I wanted. A nice, warm bowl of home made soup. And toast. But no such luck for me. With being stuck inside on the main floor my food choices were...peanut butter, eggs, and apple crisp. 3 things which I do not care to eat anytime soon.

But on the the good stuff. I was still sick this morning. So, I decided to forgo filling my car up with gas as it was cold - and I was running a bit Late. Poor, poor, pitiful me! Gas went from $2.13 this morning to (drum roll please!) $2.39!!!!!!!!!!!! ACK. Of all the dumb luck.

But anyway, I was feeling so rotten at work that I decided "I'll go to the minute clinic at Target on lunch." (They are not called that anymore, if you were curious) BUT! They had a 1 1/2 hr wait time, so I decided to go...after work. And, BOY! Is it a good thing I went! They did a throat culture which came back negative...for now (it is being sent for out for a second opinion). BUT! The good Doc (short n' sweet......... literally!) shuddered when I told him my throat was hurting the more I talked. He said is was Something Something Abscess Something Something Abscess. Which is apparently very rare (1 in 10 cases of strep turn into it), tho he has had 4 cases in th past month. YIKES! I can just feel those things growing now..........I have these little white bubbles on my throat, and if it gets any harder for me to talk, I better get to the hospital to get x-rays and get 'em fixed or something. If they drain I'd get pneumonia.....and that means no Chicago. :-(

So, for now all I can do is: gargle with salt water; don't talk; rest; eat healthy; don't talk; gargle salt water; warm compresses on neck; no talking........
Needless to say! If you call me, I won't talk. So...email me. I will be home all day tomorrow with nothing to do, so I'll probably be on the computer the whole time.

Janet....do all the Naked drinks have banana in????? That's disgusting! Actually, I see one of the ones I got doesn't. Shoulda opened that one first! I got: Red Machine, Orange Mango Motion, Pomegranate Blueberry, and Pomegranate Agai (or is it Acai?) So, I will see which ones I like.....thank you for introducing me to the Naked way of life. ;-) I am laughing at this, and I probably shouldn't be......but I found my Cheesy Taco Pizza Rolls! Not the healthiest food on earth, but oh-so-tasty! :-)

Anyway, please pray that I get better fast and that the salt gargling helps...the good Doc said it should clear up by Wednesday with just the salt water, but maybe not....

Well, I've incredibly hungry, so I got to find some... soup.

I should just put this on my blog......(If you're reading this, I did)

What Might Have Been

What Might Have Been
Sung by: Little Texas
(Porter Howell/Dwayne O'Brien/Brady Seals)

Sure I think about you now and then
But it's been a long long time
I've got a good life now I've moved on
So when you cross my mind

I try not to think about
What might have been
'Cause that was then
And we have taken different roads
We can't go back again
There's no use giving in
And there's no way to know
What might have been

We could sit and talk about this all night long
And wonder why we didn't last
Yes they might be the best days
We will ever know
But we'll have to leave them in the past

So try not to think about
What might have been
'Cause that was then
And we have taken different roads
We can't go back again
There's no use giving in
And there's no way to know
What might have been

That same old look in your eyes
It's a beautiful night
I'm so tempted to stay
But too much time has gone by
We should just say goodbye
And turn and walk away

And try not to think about
What might have been
'Cause that was then
And we have taken different roads
We can't go back again
There's no use giving in
And there's no way to know
What might have been

No we'll never know
What might have been

Excitement

- When I got to work this morning I was told to watch for the ambulance. A trucker had slipped on the ice in back and hurt his back pretty bad. The police came and everything. It wore people out. This was all by 7:30am. The trucker is resting at a hotel and will be fine...he called later in the day.
- I lost my desk today. Literally. The main office is getting new carpet over the weekend and they had to disassemble everything! I will have pictures on Flickr later.
- A customer called from TN today. He always asks me about the weather. I told 'We are having a heat wave. It's 9 degrees! He laughed.
- It is now 28 degrees. Time to break out the shorts!
- A cell phone was delivered to our office just before I left (early!). It looks like the batmobile kinda. It came with no battery or screen, and had obviously been dropped several times. No one knows who it belongs to.
- I went to a different Walmart and found the frame I wanted for a picture going up tomorrow. Yay! The more I looked at the one I had, the less I liked it. Ick. But, I'm happy now!!
- It's Friday. I don't have to work for 2 whole days!
- Mom is vacuuming and I don't know why.
- Tomorrow I get to go out with Jen for lunch. This is wonderful!
- It is nice and sunny out.
- I'm hungry. I don't think I got lunch...I will have to go eat now.
- The other day, Dad had chores, and his little friend wanted him to play on Saturday, so the friend came over a couple nights ago to help with chores, which was the only way Mom would let Dad play with him on Saturday. I never see Dad on Saturdays anymore. It's sad.
- I am finally warm - since Monday I've been cold.
- Last week while playing games with some people (I promised their names would not be released) the following conversation ensued while playing 28 hands of Care Bear Uno. You will probably not get much of it if you do not know me and these people well...
Person 2: Yup.
Person 1: Are you sure?
Person 2: Both sides.
Person 3: ~laughs~
Person 1: (incredulously) Did you check?
Person 3: ~still laughing~
Person 2: No. Should I? ~pause~ (sniff sniff) Yup, both sides.
Person 1: ~groans~
Person 3: ~laughs the whole time~
Person 2 (to person 3): You learned that from me.
Person 1: Talking about pits?
Person 2: No. Being sure.
Person 3: ~still laughing~

I just got home. Yay.
My toe is yellow. Ick.
It's too cold outside. Tho we are having a heat wave...
I wish our mail box would jsut fall off the rest of the way so we can get a new one.
I'm hungry.
New carpet stinks. Literally. Work has been getting all new carpeting this week and I come home light headed cuz of the fumes.
We (being Anna, Jessica and I) have a hotel for Chicago!
In 2 weeks we will be seeing Josh Groban!!!
I am hanging pictures up at bluer this weekend. Yay. I liked when we had everyone hang something up.
Supper is ready soon. We are having Parmesan Chickan.
We need applesauce.
I hate forwards.

Significant Events:
John Williams turns 75 today. I like his music.
Anna Nicole Smith died today. How shocking.
